ARTIST STATEMENT
It has been my great pleasure to be a fine arts printmaker for the past several years focusing on a broad range of printmaking approaches, including monotype/monoprint, collagraph, intaglio, and woodcut, and the interplay of combining approaches through overprinting to create layering, depth, and meaning. These processes guide and inspire my work through which I seek to bring together the organic and the geometric to produce surprising results, ranging from giving character and personality to objects, to purely abstract images that move across and through the surface. The underlying unifying characteristic of my work is a sense of motion, striving, and the visual communication of the aspirational.
